The statement read: “It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on 1 September, 2006, at just 33 years old.
“Carla joined Alexanders Talent Management family at the age of 12.
“For more than 20 years we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room.

“We will remember her infectious smile, her laughter, her talent, and the beautiful light she carried everywhere she went.”
The statement went on to say that Carla was more than just a client and had become ‘like family’ over the years.
The heartbreaking statement also sent love and condolences to Carla’s family, adding that they requested privacy while navigating their tragic loss.
It continued: “Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time. We respectfully ask that their privacy be honoured as they grieve this unimaginable loss.
The message concluded: “Rest beautifully, Carla. Your light will never be forgotten.”
No cause of death for the star has been publicly disclosed at this time.
Carla shot to fame as Bree in the original 2018 musical film Zombies and reprised the role for two of its sequels in 2020 and 2023.
As well as appearing in the movies, she also voiced the character in several animated spin-offs.
Although best known for her work with the Disney Channel, Carla also appeared in a host of other shows, including Curb Your Enthusiasm, Southland, American Vandal, Lie to Me, and Suburgatory.
Carla began her acting career aged just 12 with a role in Phat Girlz alongside Mo-Nique.
Born in Houston, Carla is the twin sister of fellow actor Carlon Jeffery, who also appeared on the Disney Channel, with a role in A.N.T. Farm.
Her sudden passing has led to a flood of tributes from fans and those within the industry.
Carla’s Zombies co-star Milo Manheim said: “Carla. The sweetest person I have ever met. I love you.”
He took to his Instagram Stories to share another tribute, writing: “Love you Carlaboo. The sweetest, kindest, most loving person” as well as a clip of Carla dancing from a scene in iCarly.
While fellow Zombies star Chandler Kinney wrote: “The brightest shining light in any room she walked into. The kindest person you’d ever meet.The most beautiful soul. This doesn’t feel real.”
Trevor Tordjman, who also appeared in the franchise, commented: “At a loss for words right now.. I’ll never forget your energy and spirit Carla.”
A rep for the star wrote on her official Instagram page: “May be gone from this world but not from our hearts. Rest in Peace Carla J. Jeffery”.
